I could see it in his eyes. I could see Griff wasn't going to let it happen even though he missed a few free throws. He was going to find a way to win.

He's our heart and soul, and obviously we're not the same team without him. So we're going to need some other players to fill his shoes, which are nearly impossible to fill.

I'll say this. Brock has earned everything ? nothing's been given to him.

It was important we came out in the second half and continued to play hard. That was something we didn't do on Friday against Provo.

What can you say? Eight percent shooting in the second half, 2-of-24, and a lot of them were open looks. What can you say? You can't shoot that way and win. We knew they were athletes. They were quick, they jumped well and that hurt us big time.

With Griff out, our role players have to have more of an impact. Bateman did a great job on Eaton. He made him really work hard for those seven points. Ben Christensen has really come on for us. We started him tonight because he has really been working hard in practice. Those two players were very important in this game.

We wanted to get him in the game so we could establish an inside-out game, and he came out in the third quarter pretty eager to get going.

We played a little reckless at times. We had opportunities to control the game, but then we got a little out of control.

We played a pretty good game overall. Besides their first shot off the opening tip, we guarded them well. We executed a lot of things well tonight.

Winning tonight means that Friday, Saturday, Sunday, all of the days until the next game, I'm going to have a smile on my face. Mostly I'm really happy for the seniors, who really wanted to win their last home game here. They were pretty jazzed up.
